STRIPE LAB
WITH AMANDA RATAJ

Learn more about design, colour, proportion and more in this fun and creative workshop focused on stripes. Participants will explore stripe design and development through creative exercises that awaken curiosity, creativity and deepen their understanding of the principles of art and design. Colour’s critical role in textile projects will also be discussed.
This workshop can be on loom (rigid heddle, tapestry or shaft loom) or using knitting, crochet or collage with yarns or fabrics. It is ideal for the beginner to the experienced textile creator who wishes to develop their project planning, design and colour confidence skills.

This workshop is suitable for all experience levels.

Amanda Rataj is an artist and weaver living and working in Hamilton. She studied at OCAD, is a contract lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Fashion Program, and an educator at AGO.
