As a teenager, Janet Phillips toured a mill in Galashiels with her family.  She soon after started a four year course in industrial textile design, working with  a 24-shaft Dobby loom.She loves  the combination of colour, rhythm, repetition and maths.  Her presentation will focus on criteria that need to be considered when designing a woven fabric.  – Colour, Yarn, Fibre, Sett Weave structure and Finishing.  https://www.janetphillips-weaving.co.uk/
