EHS presents: Making Yarn with a (Fancy) Stick, with Diana Twiss
Sunday 25th May 2025, 10am-12pm ET at NPCC
Join Diana Twiss for a workshop session on the taxonomy of spindles and how they work. Join us in NPCC studio for a presentation on the styles of spindles; suspended (drop) and supported. (Diana will be presenting by Zoom from her studio in BC.) Then stay for practical hands-on tips for getting started and building a cop. A range of spindles and fibres will be available for hands-on experience in studio.
Diana Twiss is a fibre artist who loves spindles for their simplicity, beauty and portability. She has a curated collection of spindles of all shapes, sizes and styles. She is a member of Langley Guild in BC, she teaches workshops in the fibre arts, and is an instructor with School of Sweet Georgia, as well as writing articles for PLY Magazine.
